ClimaTech Bangladesh Expedition 2026
Exploring the technologies, ideas and people shaping a more climate-resilient, liveable and future-ready Bangladesh.
DHAKA · 23.81°N 90.41°E — SIGNAL ACTIVE
The climate technologies shaping Bangladesh are already here.
ClimaTech Bangladesh Expedition 2026 is an emerging climate technology and innovation platform exploring the people, technologies, businesses and ideas shaping Bangladesh's response to climate change. The Expedition connects climate-tech innovators, startups, researchers, technology companies, policymakers, investors, young professionals and development partners to discover practical solutions for climate resilience, clean energy, sustainable cities, adaptation, green jobs and a more liveable Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is usually described as a country experiencing climate change. This Expedition starts from a different premise. Bangladesh is also becoming a laboratory for climate adaptation, resilience and inclusive innovation — a place where practical solutions are built, tested and refined at real scale, sitting at the intersection of climate, technology, people and policy.
A journey, not a conference.
Four movements structure how the Expedition brings Bangladesh's climate-tech ecosystem together.
Discover
Find technologies and ideas responding to Bangladesh's climate challenges.
Connect
Bring innovators, companies, researchers, policymakers, investors and communities together.
Experiment
Explore practical solutions through challenges, demonstrations and collaborative problem-solving.
Scale
Identify ideas with potential to move from prototype to real-world impact.
REFRESH DHAKA
Reimagine the city. Prototype the future.
Dhaka is dense, dynamic, creative and constantly evolving. Refresh Dhaka brings together young innovators, designers, technologists and problem-solvers to rethink how one of the world's biggest cities can become more liveable.
As part of the ClimaTech Bangladesh Expedition 2026, Refresh Dhaka will explore how technology, design and innovation can help make Dhaka, one of the world's largest and most dynamic cities, more liveable. Refresh Dhaka is a dedicated hackathon and will have a separate website.
Eight climate-tech frontiers.
The opportunity areas the Expedition is built to explore across climate technology Bangladesh and beyond.
Clean Energy
Solar, energy efficiency, storage, distributed energy and clean power.
Climate-Smart Cities
Urban resilience, mobility, cooling, waste, water and liveability.
Adaptation Technology
Technologies helping communities adapt to floods, heat, cyclones and climate risks.
Food & Agriculture
Climate-smart agriculture, resilient food systems and technology-enabled farming.
Circular Economy
Waste reduction, reuse, recycling and resource efficiency.
Climate Data
AI, sensors, geospatial intelligence, climate analytics and early warning systems.
Green Jobs
Technologies and business models creating future-ready green employment.
Nature & Blue Economy
Coastal resilience, biodiversity, water systems and nature-based innovation.
A growing ecosystem.
Bangladesh doesn't only need climate solutions. Bangladesh can help build them.
Bangladesh's unique combination of climate vulnerability, population density, urbanisation, entrepreneurial energy, digital adoption, renewable-energy potential and adaptation experience creates an important environment for developing and testing practical climate solutions — the kind other climate-exposed regions will need next.
- 01Climate vulnerability, faced directly
- 02Density and rapid urbanisation
- 03Entrepreneurial and digital energy
- 04Renewable-energy potential
- 05Lived adaptation experience
